Jambolão is a medicinal plant from the Indo-Malaysian Region, specifically from India. Usually, the consumption of Jambolão herbal tea is practised as an auxiliary method to reduce and regulate blood glucose, even treating allergies. In addition to the benefits mentioned, this powerful natural formula can promote an increase in appetite caused by stimulating insulin production. At the same time, it may favour digestion and the regulation of intestinal flora. Jambolão herbal tea may also be beneficial in reducing blood pressure, strengthening the immune system and preventing premature ageing effects on the skin.

In Ayurvedic Medicine, Jambolão is used for the treatment of colds, diabetes, constipation, intestinal gas, diarrhoea, indisposition and menstrual disorders. This tea is produced using the leaves and stems of Jambolão. The possible contribution of this plant to the maintenance of diabetes and hypertension may jointly prove its potential in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. According to some scientific studies, Jambolão herbal tea may indirectly favour weight loss through its action in reducing fluid retention. Thus contributing to the body deflating.

Infusion time: 10 minutes

Recommended quantity: 2 to 3 cups a day

Preparation: Place a tablespoon of Jambolão leaves in half a litre (500 ml) of boiled water in a container. Then cover it and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Finally, strain and let it cool down a bit. You should consume Jambolão herbal tea warm or cold, without any added sugar or sweetener.

Store in a cool (max. 20º) and dry place (max. 60% humidity).
