Green Tea Bi Luo Chun - Pi Lo Chun

Green Tea Bi Luo Chun — also known as "Green Snail Spring", "Biluochun", or "Pi Lo Chun" — is one of China’s most revered tea treasures, hand-picked from the Dongting Mountains in Jiangsu Province. Its fame dates back to the Tang Dynasty, acclaimed not only for its delicate flavour and intense floral aroma but also for the meticulous, artisanal methods used in its production.

Ingredients: 100% Green Tea Bi Luo Chun

Origin: Jiangsu, China

Taste & Aroma: A delicate floral fragrance with subtle fruity notes. The flavour is fresh, slightly sweet, with a smooth and lingering finish.

One of China’s Most Famous Teas

This premium green tea is distinguished by its finely rolled leaves shaped like tiny spirals — hence the name “Bi Luo Chun”, which literally means “Green Snail Spring”. It is a seasonal tea, harvested only in spring, resulting in an infusion of unparalleled freshness, sweet vegetal notes, and a subtly fruity finish.

History & Tradition

Legend has it that this tea was originally called "Xia Sha Ren Xiang", meaning “frightening fragrance”, due to its unexpectedly powerful aroma rising from the baskets of the tea pickers. Later, Emperor Kangxi, impressed by its exquisite quality, renamed it with the poetic title we know today.

The artisanal technique used in its production — gently hand-rolling each leaf during the drying process — is one of the key reasons this tea is consistently ranked among China’s top ten most celebrated teas.
