As a rule, the youngest leaves are harvested to obtain a greater concentration of the properties of Miyazaki Gyokuro. Compared to Matcha or Sencha, Gyokuro has a slightly bulkier consistency.

Gyokuro's treatment process is identical to that of Sencha Japanese Green Tea, one of the most cultivated green tea Japanese varieties. Due to the characteristics of production and storage, the preparation of Miyazaki Gyokuro tea is also specific. You must prepare it in pure water and heat it in an iron cast teapot at 50º to obtain a high-quality Gyokuro. As for its benefits, consuming Gyokuro tea may contribute to delaying premature age and strengthening the immune system. In Japan, it is customary to offer Gyokuro tea to visitors.
