Cinnamon is a woody spice that originated in Sri Lanka, in the Asian South. It was through maritime and land discoveries that cinnamon spread to various regions of the world. When used sustainably, cinnamon can take up to 20 years to develop. Its spicy flavour is similar to that of cloves.
Cinnamon must have been registered for the first time in Ancient Egypt. It is essential to point out that the cinnamon stick should not be ingested, but applied as an aromatic ingredient. Know that the clearer the bark of the cinnamon stick, the better its quality. Cinnamon tea can strengthen defences, and even improve digestion and blood circulation. How to prepare Cinnamon Tea:
Water temperature: 100º
Infusion time: 8 to 10 minutes.
Recommended quantity: 1 level teaspoon of cinnamon powder per cup of tea.
Preparation: Place 1 level teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a cup and add boiled water as much as you wish. Then let it infuse for 8 to 10 minutes. Finally, stir well with a spoon and wait 2 minutes. It can be consumed immediately, hot or cold.
Store in a cool (max. 20º) and dry (max. 60% humidity) place.
