The spearmint (Mentha spicata) is a specie of mint with a sweet smell which is found in health-food, toothpaste, elixir, hair, cosmetics, etc. It is also commonly used in medicine for its therapeutic properties claimed.
The spearmint contains a lot of vitamins, antioxidants and vital nutrients, the flavor is very similar to that of peppermint. However, it contains less menthol than peppermint, but is rich in limonene, di-hidrocarvona, and cineol, resulting in a taste that is sweeter than the peppermint.
