Graviola (Annona muricata L.) is used in medicine as a source rich in fibers and vitamins, and its consumption is recommended in cases of constipation, diabetes and obesity.
Properties: Graviola has diuretic and sedative properties, being antispasmodic, vermifuge, expectorant, astringent, vitaminizing, anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic.
Therapeutic indications: Gastritis, ulcer, obesity, constipation, diabetes, digestive problems, liver diseases, hypertension, depression, insomnia, migraines, flu, worms, diarrhea and rheumatism.
Contraindications: Graviola should not be taken by people with mouth sores (canker sores) because their acidity can cause discomfort. Pregnant women, infants or people with hypotension should also avoid taking the soursop.
