Curiosities:

Rosehips - during the 2nd World War, the military ingested the fruits of the rosehips as a natural way to obtain vitamin C. These fruits contain a high quantity of this vitamin essential for strengthening the defences. Thus, they would be able to maintain the resistance of the immune system due to the circumstances of the conflict. In addition to this function, vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen, allowing, at the same time, the normal functioning of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, skin, gums and teeth. Even to protect cells against undesirable oxidations.

Sunflower - is a dicotyledonous plant of the Asteraceae family, native to western North America. It is believed that its first production began around 4500 years ago through the indigenous peoples. The scientific name given to the sunflower is "Helianthus annus" which translates to "sunflower". The chromatic density of the sunflower imparts happiness and positivity. The sunflower is known for being a plant that grows towards the sun until it dies and that can bloom for 365 days at temperatures between 18º and 30º.

Safflower - is considered a medicinal plant with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, it can help control cholesterol levels and weight loss. The origin of safflower is unknown. Although, it is believed to have existed for over 4000 years. Safflower is a plant with great resistance to different climates. Its petals may help to strengthen the immune system and contribute to the reduction of appetite. In addition, they can promote weight loss, as well as reduce joint pain.

Water Temperature: 100º

Infusion time: 3 to 5 minutes.

Recommended quantity: 1 teaspoon per person. Approximately 4grs per cup.

Method of preparation: place a teaspoon of previously boiled water in a container. Cover it and let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Finally, strain and the tea is ready to drink, hot or cold.

Store in a dry (max. 20º) and cool (max. 60% humidity) place.

Learn how to prepare your cold tea:

Put two tablespoons of tea in 1.5L of boiled water, let it cool and then put it in the fridge. If you want to add sugar to your tea, you should do so while it is hot. For a healthier option, add 1 tablespoon of stevia (do not steep it for longer than 3 minutes as your drink will be too sweet). This way, you get an ICE TEA without any added sugars or artificial preservatives.
