Cherry - originally from the Asian continent, the cherry is a small fruit with a rounded shape and reddish colour. This succulent fruit develops more in low-temperature regions with the constant presence of fog. In Japan, fruitless cherry trees are used as ornamental plants in gardens. The flowering season is the most appreciated by tourists and the general population.

Cherry is an edible fruit from the cherry tree rich in fibre, vitamins A, B and C, serotonin, minerals, and salicylic acid. Strongly nutritious, the cherry contains refreshing, revitalizing, antioxidant, soothing, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. The consumption of cherries can help in digestion, rheumatism, gout, uric acid and the fight against free radicals. In addition, it contributes to the proper functioning of the heart, nervous and muscular system through its laxative action. Therefore, the consumption of cherries can help treat insomnia and depression.

Due to the strong presence of polyphenols, the cherry will be a great allay regulate and controlling blood glucose. If you are diabetic, try our insulin plant in leaves.

Rosehips - during the 2nd World War, the military ingested the fruits of the rosehips as a natural way to obtain vitamin C. This is because these fruits contain a high amount of this vitamin, essential for strengthening the defences. Thus, they would be able to maintain immune system resistance in the face of the circumstances of the conflict. In addition to this function, vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen, allowing, at the same time, the normal functioning of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, skin, gums, and teeth. Even to protect cells against undesirable oxidations.

Water temperature: 100º

Infusion time: 3 to 5 minutes.

Recommended quantity: 1 teaspoon per person. Approximately 4grs per cup.

Method of preparation: place a teaspoon of previously boiled water in a container. Cover it and let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Finally, strain and the tea is ready to drink, hot or cold.

Store in a dry (max. 20º) and cool (max. 60% humidity) place.

Learn how to prepare your cold tea:

Put two tablespoons of tea in 1.5L of boiled water, let it cool and then put it in the fridge. If you want to add sugar to your tea, you should do so while it is hot. For a healthier option, add 1 tablespoon of stevia (do not steep it for longer than 3 minutes as your drink will be too sweet). This way, you get an ICE TEA without any added sugars or artificial preservatives.
