What is Rooibos tea?
Rooibos is a shrub native to South Africa. By its color, it is also called red tea (although it should not be confused with red tea Purim from the camellia sinensis plant). Rooibos tea does not have any type of teina, and can be taken by anyone.
In South Africa, this tea is usually consumed with sugar or honey and a slice of lemon. Rooibos tea has a high rate of anti-oxidants beneficial to the body. By being rich in flavanoids, it helps in lowering bad cholesterol and regulates blood pressure. It is considered a moderate diuretic
Prepration Suggestion: Prepare a delicious Iced tea of Rooibos Orange & Lemon. Heat 1 liter of water and add Rooibos until the infusion is stronger than you normally would to drink Hot. Sugar to taste. Take it to the fridge and at the time of serving add a little of Water with Ginger or Ale, garnish with a leaf of mint and serve in a glass with ice ... delight!
It is a type of tea that is not bitter if you stay too long in infusion.

Infusion time: 3 - 5 minutes.
Recommended amount: 2 "teaspoons" per person. Approx. 4grs / cup.
