Boldo leaves

Boldo is a plant with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, calming and diuretic properties with the potential to act as a digestive tonic and liver detoxifier. It contains an active principle called “boldine” which is the main antioxidant responsible for its effect on liver protection.

Ingredients: 100% Boldo of Chile, leaves (Peumus Boldus).

What is Boldo Herbal Tea good for

Boldo Herbal Tea is recommended for stomach, liver, gallbladder and intestinal problems. It is one of the most used medicinal teas for the relief of symptoms caused by gastritis, indigestion, heartburn (burning sensation in the stomach), constipation, food intolerance, menstrual cramps, flatulence, diarrhoea, cystitis, gallstones, and high uric acid. Acting on the balance of stomach acidity improves digestion and prevents excessive accumulation of gases in the intestines. It prevents abdominal swelling. Boldo may also be an excellent ally in weight loss by promoting body detox. It is also known to contribute to stomach and headache relief.

It is indicated to relieve symptoms of excessive ingestion of alcoholic beverages.

Curiosities:

Boldo is considered the true plant of Boldo from the Andes Mountains, which stretch across South America. This plant can reach a height of 12 meters, and the only part used for medicinal purposes is its leaves. Boldo is used to relieve symptoms caused by liver diseases. Besides being an exceptional ally for gastric well-being, the Boldo promotes intestinal balance. In its natural state, the Chile Boldo grows in low humid environments and stony soils. However, the growth of this tree is rather slow, perhaps due to the conditions of the place where it grows.
