Organic Lemon Verbena Tea

The Lemon Verbena (Aloysia citrodora) is a species of the Verbenaceae family, native to South America (Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia and Peru). It was introduced in Europe by the Spanish and Portuguese in the 17th century. In the Algarve, it is called "beautiful luísa" and in other parts of Portugal it has the common name of "limonete".

Ingredients: 100% Organic Lemon Verbena (Aloysia citrodora).

Origin: Portugal

During the reign of Queen Victoria of England, Lemon Verbena was grown in English gardens to use in creating natural scents and fragrances. As for its flavoring function, L0emon Verbena was believed to help purify the air inside the house. Some parts of this plant were used to perfume clothes and in hot baths as essential oils for the body. It was later explored and taken to the European continent by Spaniards from South America.

Properties: Lemon Verbena is known for its carminative and digestive properties that reduce the development of intestinal gas. It can also promote good digestion and strengthen the immune system.

The Lemon Verbena Tea can help in the slim process of reduction of cellulite, fever, and blood pressure. You can still use this plant to season your food. It can act as a liver-cleansing and muscle-regenerating food.
