Green Tea Japan Sakura
Our Green Tea Japan Sakura is a true homage to one of the most beautiful events in the natural world, the Hanami Matsuri Festival. This Japanese ritual known as the “Festival of Flower Contemplation” occurs each spring. The Japanese make convivial gatherings under the blossoming Sakura trees to observe their beauty from dawn to dusk.
This phenomenon lasts for 5 to 10 days when it is possible to admire 110 different species of Sakura. Hence, the cherry blossom is one of the most characteristic symbols of Japanese culture. The time of this festival is defined by the flowering period of the Sakura trees, which reflects the logic that “All good things are short-lived”. In the past, Sakura trees were believed to hide gods inside. Although it is less common, offerings are still made to cherry blossom trees based on this thought to attract luck and good harvests.
Ingredients: Sencha Green Tea, cherry pieces, rose petals, and natural Japanese cherry aromas.
What is Sencha Green Tea?
Sencha Green Tea is known as the “King of Green Teas” and is one of the most widely grown varieties in Japan and is widely admired in the West. The cultivation for Sencha is around 78 to 80%. Besides being one of the most recommended types of green tea for beginners, Sencha is a very versatile option for both cold and hot days. In contrast to the other varieties called “shadow teas”, Sencha grows without any kind of barrier against the sun. When brewed, this green tea gives off a really pleasant, light, and refreshing sensation that will leave you feeling relaxed and clear-minded. It is an excellent option to detoxify the body.
