Black Tea Berryfields

Black Tea Berryfields is the perfect choice to warm your body and soul during the coldest season of the year. Its combination of ingredients results in a black tea with a fruity flavour ideal for your breakfasts and snacks.

Ingredients: Black tea 80%, lemon peel, freeze-dried strawberry pieces 3%, rose petals and natural flavours.

Origin of Black Tea

Black tea is obtained from the most mature leaves of the Camellia sinensis shrub. Unlike other types of tea, it has the highest level of oxidation, which gives it a more intense flavour. After harvesting, the green leaves undergo an osmosis process lasting up to 20 hours, followed by manual or mechanical rolling. It is at this stage that the oxidation process begins and is finalised with the natural drying of the leaves.

With a high caffeine content, black tea can increase the body's energy, although excessive consumption can affect the balance of the nervous system. For this reason, it is recommended to consume it during the day, without adding sugar. Its benefits include reducing fatigue, aiding weight loss and relieving poor digestion. Compared to coffee, black tea can provide a feeling of prolonged energy that lasts between 4 and 6 hours.

Curiosities:

The lemon is a citrus fruit with a tart flavour that originated in India and China, where it began to be cultivated over 2,500 years ago. Initially, it was only grown for ornamental purposes, but from the 11th century onwards, the Arabs introduced the lemon to Europe and Africa. In the 15th century, it was widely used in medicine, cooking and cleaning. Rich in fibre and vitamin C, lemon is a powerful antioxidant that strengthens the immune system, improves digestion and helps regulate intestinal flora. It can also reduce appetite, relieve constipation and support collagen production.
