Christmas Dream Fruit Tea

Ingredients: Apple pieces, black currants, hibiscus flowers, elderberries, orange peels, red rose petals, marigold petals and natural flavor of cardamom and cinnamon.

Red Fruits — Red fruits are fruits with the colour red or black, which are arranged in berries. The reddish colour of some of these fruits comes from anthocyanin, a plant pigment with the power to prevent cell degeneration. These fruits have curious aspects from a nutritional point of view, and are even considered by many as superfoods.
We can find a wide variety of red fruits in nature, each one with its characteristics. Below, we list some of the most popular red fruits even as Blueberries, Blackberries, Cherries, Raspberries, Currants, Strawberries, etc.
Cinnamon — Scientifically known as Cinnamomum, it is an aromatic spice rich in flavonoids such as eugenol, hesperidin and linalool, which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, helping to prevent cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
Because it contains a good quantity of cinnamaldehyde, a compound that increases metabolism and improves concentration. Cinnamon also helps improve physical and mental disposition, in help to stimulating the burning of body fat and facilitating weight loss.
Cardamom — Originating in India, this small fruit has a flavour and aroma similar to ginger and is actually in the ginger family. Cardamom is a pod that contains sweetened seeds that you can use in cooking, and you can also find powdered cardamom.
Cardamom is used in sweet dishes, desserts, cakes, or bread. However, it is an excellent spice for preparing teas and various infusions.
Cardamom also pairs well with citrus, vanilla and saffron, so if you use some of these ingredients in your recipes, consider introducing cardamom, as well. For example, if you make a sauce with lemon or orange, cardamom is a great option for flavouring.

Water temperature: 100º
Infusion time: 5 to 7 minutes.
Recommended quantity: 1 teaspoon per person. Approximately 4grs per cup.
Method of preparation: place a teaspoon of previously boiled water in a container. Cover it and let it rest for 5 to 7 minutes. Finally, strain and the tea is ready to drink, hot or cold.
Store in a dry (max. 20º) and cool (max. 60% humidity) place.

Put two tablespoons of tea in 1.5L of boiled water, let it cool and then put it in the fridge. If you want to add sugar to your tea, you should do so while it is hot. For a healthier option, add 1 tablespoon of stevia (do not steep it for longer than 3 minutes as your drink will be too sweet). This way, you get an ICE TEA without any added sugars or artificial preservatives.
