Santa Claus Fruit Tea

Don't miss this wonderful infusion of fruits with a delicious aroma of vanilla and cherries.

Ingredients: hibiscus, currants, sultana dried grapes, elderberries, blackberries, strawberries, cherries, and raspberries with vanilla and cherry aromas.

Curiosities:

Santa Claus - The modern character of Santa is based on folklore traditions surrounding Saint Nicholas, the English figure of Father Christmas and the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas. Santa is generally depicted as a portly, jolly, white-bearded man, often with spectacles, wearing a red coat with white fur collar and cuffs, white-fur-cuffed red trousers, red hat with white fur, and black leather belt and boots, carrying a bag full of gifts for children. He is commonly portrayed as laughing in a way that sounds like "ho ho ho". This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of the 1823 poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas". Caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast also played a role in the creation of Santa's image.

Cherry - originally from the Asian continent, the cherry is a small fruit with a rounded shape and reddish colour. This succulent fruit develops more in low-temperature regions with the constant presence of fog. In Japan, fruitless cherry trees are used as ornamental plants in gardens, and the flowering season is the most appreciated by tourists and the general population.

Cherry is an edible fruit from the cherry tree rich in fibre, vitamins A, B and C, serotonin, minerals and salicylic acid. Strongly nutritious, the cherry contains refreshing, revitalizing, antioxidant, soothing, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. The consumption of cherries can help in digestion, rheumatism, gout, uric acid and the fight against free radicals. In addition, it contributes to the proper functioning of the heart, nervous and muscular system through its laxative action. Therefore, the consumption of cherries can help in the treatment of insomnia and depression.

Currant - the currant is a fruit with vitamin C higher than the orange. It is common to find it in regions of Europe and North America. It contains beneficial properties for reducing bad cholesterol, strengthening defences, regulating intestinal flora and improving vision. The current is a low-calorie fruit, although it should be consumed in a controlled manner due to the probability of developing gastric problems.

Learn how to prepare your cold tea:

Put two tablespoons of tea in 1.5L of boiled water, let it cool and then put it in the fridge. If you want to add sugar to your tea, you should do so while it is hot. For a healthier option, add 1 tablespoon of stevia (do not steep it for longer than 3 minutes as your drink will be too sweet). This way, you get an ICE TEA without added sugars or artificial additives.
