Known as "chanoyu", the Japanese tea ceremony corresponds to a peculiar aesthetic pastime in Japan that is characterized by serving and drinking "matcha". The tea ceremony practitioner needs to have knowledge of traditional arts, architecture, landscape gardening and floral arts. Including tea cultivation and varieties, Japanese clothing (kimono), calligraphy, ceramics, etiquette and incense.
Thus, the practice of the tea ceremony practically never ends and requires a long time of preparation and study from the performer. This ritual may take 4 hours.
Ideally, use two servings for each cup, the equivalent of 1g of matcha tea. As for cleaning the chashaku, it should be done with a dry, dirt-free cloth. If for some reason you need to wash it, just do it with a little water, without adding any other product. As soon as you rinse it with water, clean it and let it dry so that it does not change the flavor of the matcha tea the next time you use it.
