After the first annual harvest, Gyokuro presents a composition rich in minerals, promoted by its direct exposure to winter and the final cover of the bushes. As a rule, the youngest leaves are harvested to obtain a greater concentration of the properties of Miyazaki Gyokuro. Compared to Matcha or Sencha, Gyokuro has a slightly bulkier consistency.
