Curiosities:

Green Tea – Green tea leaves are extracted from a single shrub called Camellia Sinensis, originally from Southeast Asia, China, and India. It is known as green tea because its leaves undergo little oxidation, unlike black tea. According to scientific records, this medicinal plant may have existed in China for over 5000 years and only 1500 in Japan. According to legend, the consumption of green tea started with the accidental fall of some leaves in the hot water of the Chinese Emperor Shennong. This event resulted in the longest tradition of green tea.

For the production of green tea, the youngest leaves are harvested, located in the terminal zone of Camellia Sinensis. This selection is because the leaves have high quality. Before starting to consume green tea, you must pay attention to the temperature of the water. Therefore, you should not use very hot water or the opposite. This healthy drink is an excellent stimulant for the central nervous system. Although it contains caffeine, this quantity is lower than that found in coffee.

Peppermint – Peppermint is an aromatic plant of the Lamiaceae family, resulting from the union of two species of the 25 MenthasMentha aquatica with Mentha spicata. According to scientific data, the origin of peppermint is still unknown. However, it is thought to be possibly from England and North Africa. It was in 1696 that the first botanical record of this plant appeared in British territory, where it was applied for various purposes due to the high menthol content. In Arabic cuisine, it is quite common to mix peppermint with thyme as a spice. This versatile aromatic herb is often used in meat dishes, salads, and desserts.

About its medicinal properties, peppermint tea can help relieve indigestion, vomiting, headaches, muscle tension, fever and menstrual cramps. It may favour the reduction of gastrointestinal gases, treat insomnia and strengthen the body's immunity.
