Ora-pro-nóbis (Pereskia aculeata) is considered the favourite vegetable protein of sportsmen, vegans, and vegetarians. According to the organization, this gastronomic event is “geared towards the commercialization, appreciation, and dissemination of dishes made from Ora-pro-nóbis in Sabará, encompassing both traditional recipes, present in the daily lives of Minas Gerais since colonial times and innovative ones, many of them created especially for the festival.”
