Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyyacantha) is a species of plant in the Rosaceae family native to Europe. Although it is very common in European countries, it is also easily found in North Africa and Western Asia. Besides having the ability to grow up to 8 metres tall, Hawthorn can survive for about 500 years.

Infusion time: 5 to 10 minutes.

Recommended quantity: Approx. 2 tablespoons of Hawthorn per 1L (1000ml) of water.

Dosage: Drink 2 to 3 cups a day at any time for at least 4 weeks.

How to prepare: place 2 tablespoons of Hawthorn in a pan with 1 litre of boiled water. Cover and leave to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes. Finally, strain and allow to cool slightly before drinking.

Store in a cool, dry place away from light.
