What is Rooibos tea?
Rooibos is a shrub originating exclusively from South Africa. By its color, it is also called red tea (though it should not be confused with red tea Pu - erh comes from the plant camellia sinensis). The rooibos tea does not have any type of theine, which may be taken by any person. In South Africa, this tea is often consumed with sugar or honey and a slice of lemon.
The Rooibos tea has a high rate of anti-oxidants beneficial to the body. To be rich in flavanoides, helps in decreasing the bad cholesterol and regulates blood pressure. It is considered a diuretic moderate.
It is a type of tea that is not bitter if you stay too long in infusion.
