It is also associated with the inhibition of the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, present in cases of gastritis and ulcers.

Recipe 1
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of Espinheira Santa (5g)
- 1 teaspoon of Lemon Balm Leaves (1g)
- 1 teaspoon of Fennel Seeds (1g)
Preparation:
- Place Espinheira Santa in a pan with 300 ml of cold water.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add Lemon Balm and Fennel Seeds.
- Steep for 5 minutes, strain, and serve.
