Originally from India, Globe Amaranth is a versatile flower from the Amaranthaceae family, recognized for its anti-inflammatory potential. This purple flower is often used in “pout pourri” due to its timeless resistance that enhances all its characteristics. This flower is a reflection of eternity and immortality. For some cultures, Globe Amaranth is the most representative natural element of love, hence its use in weddings and parties. Generally, we define the Globe Amaranth flower as being purple, although, with botanical evolution, other varieties of pink, white and red have been created.
Globe Amaranth is a plant that can grow between 40 and 60 centimetres, naturally, in subtropical and tropical climates. Being easily found in South American countries. When sown, Globe Amaranth multiplies in fertile soils exposed to the sun. Specialists of Globe Amaranth Tea define the flavour with brief notes of “beetroot, sweet potato and sweet mushrooms”. On a therapeutic level, the infusion of Globe Amaranth can contribute to strengthening the defences, improving blood circulation and balancing the nervous system. Infusion time: 5 to 7 minutes.
Recommended quantity: 2 to 3 cups, daily. The first cup should be taken in the morning, and the second before going to bed. For each cup of tea, you should use 3 to 4 flowers. Hot tea is recommended for treating problems such as lack of voice, hoarseness, cough and sore throat.
Preparation: Place 3 to 4 Globe Amaranth flowers in a container and then pour boiled water. Cover it and let it infuse for about 5 to 7 minutes. Finally, let it cool down a bit and you can consume it right away. Although hot tea is recommended for treating certain situations, you can consume it cold. If you want to boost its anti-inflammatory effect, you can consume Globe Amaranth Tea with honey, cinnamon, or ginger.
