Meet our Rooibos Natural and make a versatile drink for the afternoon or evening, hot or cold, with or without milk. This premium ingredient is of South African origin. It's ideal for tea and sports lovers!

Ingredients: 100% natural and unflavoured Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis).

What is Rooibos Tea?

Rooibos is a shrub unique to South Africa. Also known as red tea because of its colour, it should not be confused with Pu Erh Tea (Camellia sinensis). Rooibos Tea is theine-free tea that can be drunk by everyone. This tea does not turn bitter if left to brew for too long. Our Rooibos Natural or Red Bush Tea contains a high concentration of flavonoids, which makes it a powerful detox ingredient for those who want to lose weight. Post-workout, Rooibos Tea is an excellent ally for recovering from the damage caused by injuries. Besides, it helps to hydrate the organism and to reinforce the defences.

The species “Aspalathus linearis” is cultivated by 400 local growers, exclusively in the beautiful South African Cederberg Mountains. The term “linearis” is derived from the fact that the leaves of Rooibos grow in a long, pointed shape. Rooibos Tea is usually consumed with a slice of lemon, honey and sugar in this country. It is also customary for people to reuse the same infusion and reheat it during the first 48 hours. Most of the exportation is to the United States of America and Germany.

You can use Rooibos Tea to relieve colic, allergies, fluid retention and bad digestion. It can also be used to combat anaemia.

Water temperature: 100 °C

Infusion time: 5 to 10 minutes.

Recommended quantity: 2 teaspoons per person. Approx. 4 g per cup.

How to prepare the Rooibos Tea?

Enjoy a Rooibos Tea with the following ingredients: 2 teaspoons of Rooibos, 1 cinnamon stick and 500ml of boiled water. Pour the boiled water into a suitable container and add the Rooibos and Cinnamon. Cover and leave to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes. Finally, strain and wait for it to cool down before serving. You don't need to add sugar or sweetener. If you want to prepare an Iced Tea, follow the same recipe. However, it is recommended to prepare it with 4 teaspoons of Rooibos.

Store in a cool, dry place away from light.
