Ingredients: 100% Barbatimão bark (Stryphnodendron barbatiman).

Barbatimão is a medicinal plant, also known as real Barbatimão, timan beard, youth bark or ubatima, and is widely used to help treat wounds, hemorrhages, burns, sore throats or swelling and bruising in skin, for example.

Barbatimão was already used by the Indians and has several functions, some of them to treat ulcers, skin diseases and infections, high blood pressure, diarrhea, hemorrhage and bleeding wounds, hernia, malaria, cancer, liver or kidney problems, swelling and bruising of the skin, skin burns, sore throats, diabetes, conjunctivitis and gastritis. This plant is widely used to treat pain, generalized or localized, and it can decrease sensitivity and discomfort.

This plant is also widely used in women's health, being useful to fight inflammation of the uterus and ovaries, fight hemorrhage, gonorrhea, in addition to reducing vaginal discharge.

The properties of Barbatimão include a healing action on the skin and mucous membranes, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, antioxidant, analgesic, antihypertensive, anti-parasitic, tonic and disinfectant.

In addition, Barbatimão also acts on bleeding, reducing the sensation of pain, reducing swelling and bruising on the skin, helping to eliminate toxins from the body.

Barbatimão tea is prepared as follows:

Water temperature: 100º (boiling water).

Dosage: 2 "tablespoons" of Barbatimão shells for 1 liter of boiled water.

Infusion time: Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain before drinking.

Dosage: Drink 3 to 4 times a day.

Barbatimão is contraindicated for pregnant women and breastfeeding women. It can also cause some side effects like stomach irritation, or in more severe cases, it can cause miscarriage.
