Ingredients: Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis), cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, black pepper, red pepper, and fennel.
What is Rooibos tea?
Rooibos is a shrub originating exclusively from South Africa. By its colour, it is also called red tea (although it should not be confused with red tea Pu-erh comes from the plant camellia sinensis). The rooibos tea does not have any type of theine, which may be taken by any person.
In South Africa, this tea is normally consumed with sugar, honey or with a slice of lemon. The infusion of the rooibos has a high rate of anti-oxidants beneficial to the body and to be rich in flavonoids, rooibos helps in decreasing the bad cholesterol and regulates blood pressure. It is also considered a diuretic moderate.
It is a type of tea that is not bitter if you stay too long in the infusion.
