Lapsang Souchong Black Tea

Lapsang Souchong or Zheng Shan Xiao Zhon is considered one of China's strongest teas in terms of flavor and aroma. Its origin dates back to the early 19th century, in the Wuyi Mountains, in southwestern China. About 400 years ago, the first production of Lapsang Souchong began in the village of Tongmu through the use of Camellia Sinensis Bohea bushes.

Ingredients: 100% Smoked Black Tea.

Origin: Wuyi, Fujian Province, China.

Oxidation: 100%

Gluten: 0%

Color: dark caramel

Aroma: smoky, strong, and prolonged.

Taste: pleasant, slightly smoky.

Produced in forested areas with a strong presence of fog, Lapsang Souchong tea was one of the first teas to be produced in Chinese territory. Its vitamin and mineral components will be superior to most of the black teas existing in China. This infusion is recommended as a complementary ingredient in cooking, especially with fish and spices. This powerful caffeine-rich tea contains a strong and long-lasting aroma obtained through brief woody touches from the sandalwood trees. Its smoky flavor results from the drying process in bamboo baskets and the smoking of the leaves with smoke from pine fires.

Currently, smoked Lapsang Souchong Black Tea is exported exclusively to the West. More specifically, for the British territory. Locally, locals appreciate this type of unsmoked black tea.

Considered the favorite tea of Sherlock Holmes and Winston Churchill, it contains beneficial properties for digestion. To make the most of this plant experience, we suggest you consume Lapsang Souchong from a samovar in the morning. In addition, you can add leaves to flavor your soups.
