What is Fenugreek Tea good for

Fenugreek Tea is one of the most recommended teas for the blood regulation of sugar levels (diabetes), favouring insulin resistance. This action is influenced by the fibres present in the composition of seeds, which promote speed reduction of absorption of sugars in the body. This medicinal tea is also indicated for the relief of menstrual cramps and the improvement of sexual function in men (because it increases the level of testosterone).

This natural tea may also soothe sore throats, strengthen defences, control cholesterol and aid weight loss. If your digestion is sluggish, brew Fenugreek Tea after lunch. Due to its detox potential, Fenugreek Tea can be an excellent ally in detoxifying the body. It increases satiety and muscle mass. Contributing to a healthy throat can also be an ally in relieving the symptoms of arthritis and muscle injuries.

What is Fenugreek?

Fenugreek, also known as Trigonella, is a type of spice appreciated in Oriental cuisine. From the use of the leaves to the seeds, Fenugreek has had a prestigious place in Chinese culture for thousands of years. Beyond borders, Fenugreek seeds are the basis of Curry, the famous culinary dish of Indian origin. It is also used in salads and to flavour cheeses in North Africa.

Fenugreek seeds have a bitter taste, but they are popular in cooking and teas. Today, they are also the target of several studies within Veterinary Medicine. Fenugreek is considered to be one of the oldest natural species used in human food and for medicinal purposes. In the Ancient Ottoman Empire, women consumed roasted Fenugreek seeds to obtain a slim body. In Egypt, they were also used as a paste on the skin to reduce fever.
