Benefits of Cumin Seed Tea

Cumin Seed Tea is potentially antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, making it one of the best allies in the treatment of stomach problems. In addition to relieving indigestion, it fights flatulence and stimulates the immune system. Cumin Seed Tea also has anticoagulant action that contributes to improving blood circulation and thus regulating blood pressure and diabetes. By influencing gastric well-being, it simultaneously promotes intestinal flora. Hence, this medicinal tea can also be taken to treat diarrhoea.

Other indications: colic, fatty liver, fluid retention, irregular periods and anaemia.

Curiosities:

Since the 12th century, Cumin has been used as a spice to flavour liqueurs or to add flavour to various culinary dishes. In Ancient Rome, this spice was even used to replace black pepper. Today, Cumin is produced in countries such as Mexico and India where the consumption of spices is very common.

Culinary uses: Slightly spicy and bitter seeds. Can be used whole or ground. Excellent for flavouring game meat and sausages.

Water temperature: 100º

Infusion time: 10 minutes

Recommended quantity: Approx. 1 teaspoon of Cumin Seeds per cup of tea (240ml). For 1 litre (1000ml) of tea, use one tablespoon.

Dosage: 2 to 3 cups of tea per day.

How to prepare: place 1 teaspoon of Cumin in a teacup with boiled water. Then cover and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Finally, strain and allow to cool slightly before drinking. For best results, practise a healthy lifestyle.

Store in a cool, dry place away from light.

Warnings: This plant should be avoided by pregnant women or toddlers, even anyone with hypersensitivity to the plant's active ingredients.

NOTE: The image shown is only a suggested presentation, and the type of cut and dimensions of the plant may vary in the supply or time of year, keeping all the quality, functionalities, and properties of the tea unchanged.
