Calafito also called “Hypericum tomentosum” is a species of plant of the Hypericaceae family common in mainland Portugal. When used in infusion, it produces liver protection and calming effect.

Ingredients: 100% Calafito, plant (Hypericum tomentosum).

What is Calafito Herbal Tea used for?

Calafito Herbal Tea has anti-inflammatory properties with analgesic and calming action that are beneficial to protect the liver, improve digestion and relieve pain. With regard to liver health, this medicinal tea helps to detoxify and restore liver tissue. When applied externally, Calafito Herbal Tea helps to disinfect wounds and reduce swelling caused by a bite or inflammation in the bones.

Other uses: insomnia, wounds, menstrual pain, indisposition, lack of motivation, lack of concentration, hypertension, stomach aches, anxiety, and gallbladder problems.

Water temperature: 100º

Infusion time: 5 to 10 minutes.

Recommended quantity: Approx. 1 teaspoon of Calafito per teacup of water or 4 tablespoons per 1L of water.

Dosage: Drink 3 to 4 cups of tea between meals.

How to prepare: place 1 teaspoon of Calafito in a pan with boiled water. Then cover it and let it infuse for 5 to 10 minutes. Finally, strain and let cool slightly before drinking.

Store in a dry, cool, and dark place.

Warnings: This plant should be avoided by pregnant women or babies, even by anyone with hypersensitivity to the active principles of the plant.
