How to make Matcha Tea

1st Recipe:

  • 1 Teaspoon (2 g) of Matcha Bio powder;
  • 100 ml of lukewarm water (with temperature between 70 and 80 °C);
  • 1 Chawan;
  • 1 Chasen;
  • 1 Chashaku;
  • 1 Tea water thermometer.
  • *You can also buy our Japanese Matcha Tea Set with 70gr Japanese Matcha Green Tea, 1 Chawan (Japanese ceramic bowl), 1 Chasen (handmade bamboo brush) and 1 Chashaku (Bamboo spoon).

How to prepare: Start by boiling 100 ml of mineral water. Once boiling, remove from heat and set aside until warmed to desired temperature. Next, add one tablespoon of Matcha powder to the Chawan and 2 tablespoons of warm water. Take the Chasen and stir this mixture in a 'W' motion until a brief layer of foam forms on the surface. Finally, add a splash of warm water and your Matcha Tea is ready.

2nd Simple Matcha Tea Recipe:

  • Matcha Green Tea Bio powder;
  • 150 ml mineral water;
  • 1 Chawan;
  • 1 Chasen;
  • 1 Chashaku;
  • 1 Tea water thermometer.

How to prepare: Start by boiling 150 ml of mineral water until it reaches a temperature between 80 and 95 °C maximum. Next, take the Chashaku and add 1.5 to 2 gr of Matcha tea powder in the Chawan. Now pour the hot water into the middle of the Chawan and stir the mixture with the Chasen in a quick 'W' motion. Stir well until a light layer of foam forms on the surface. Finally, you can add a little more hot water and you can enjoy your Matcha Tea.

Matcha Tea 3

3rd Matcha Tea Recipe:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Matcha powder;
  • 100ml boiled water;
  • 1 Bowl;
  • 1 Chasen.

How to prepare: Place one tablespoon of Matcha powder in the bowl and add the boiled water. Next, take the chasen and stir this mixture in a rapid 'W' motion. Stir well until a light foamy layer forms on the surface. Finally, you can add a little more hot water to soften the bitter taste of Matcha Tea. You can also add ginger, cinnamon or even orange juice.

If you are a fan of iced Matcha Tea, you can add some ice cubes and wait until it cools down. If you want to prepare a modern Matcha Tea without using the Chasen, you can use a milk frother.

How to make a Matcha Tea Latte

1st Matcha Latte Recipe:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Maple Syrup;
  • 200ml Coconut Milk;
  • 1 Tablespoon of Matcha powder;
  • 1 Milk frother.

How to prepare: Heat 200ml of coconut milk and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup in a pot or pan. Add 1 tablespoon of Matcha and dissolve the green powder with a milk frother. Stir well until a brief layer of foam appears on the surface. Finally, let it cool down a bit and you can drink your Matcha Tea Latte.

2nd Matcha Tea Latte Recipe:

  • 2 grs of Matcha Green Tea;
  • 1 Tablespoon of hot water;
  • Organic Arenga Sugar to taste;
  • 240 ml Almond Vegetable Milk;
  • 1 Chasen;
  • 1 Double Wall Glass (250 ml);
  • 1 Milk frother.

How to prepare: Place 2 gr of Matcha in the glass and pour in 1 tablespoon of hot water. Next, take the chasen and stir this mixture a little inside the glass. Now add some Arenga Sugar to your liking and mix well in a quick motion until a layer of foam forms. Finally, pour in a little vegetable milk and stir a little. You can add some cream to the surface of the Matcha Latte and some ice cubes.

3rd Matcha Latte Recipe:

  • Half of 1 teaspoon of Matcha;
  • Stevia leaves to taste;
  • 240ml Vegetable Milk to taste;
  • 2 Tablespoons of hot water (up to 80 °C);
  • 1 Chasen;
  • 1 Double Wall Glass (250 ml).

How to prepare: Place about ½ of a teaspoon of Matcha powder in a glass and prepare the hot water. Next, add two tablespoons of water, take the Chasen and stir well until a layer of foam appears on the surface. Finally, add 240 ml of vegetable milk and stir the Matcha Tea again, in slow movements. You can stir in a few stevia leaves if you prefer the Matcha Tea with a mild flavour.
